AKA tea-stained quilted coasters.

Coasters after or GSP Final

These are the coasters before staining. They were a too bright for my decor.
Coasters before

I took brewed 2 teabags in 2 cups of hot water:
tea brew

Then I put the coasters into a big bowl, and poured the tea on top of them.
staining

I let them stain for about 10 minutes.

I threw them in the dryer with some brown towels, and then ironed them.

When that was all done, I threw them onto the coffee table so MC would quit complaining that we need coasters!

Very nice! I’ve read about tea staining, but it’s not something I’ve ever tried. Neat idea to stain the coasters. :)

Satisfaction! Love the difference the stain made in the pink and brown bringing them subtlely into alignment with the brown w/ dots and flowers!

Tea stained fabric is sooo pretty! That reminds me that I tea stained a shirt that was supposed to turn into a bag. Now where is that thing???
