AKA tea-stained quilted coasters.
These are the coasters before staining. They were a too bright for my decor.

I took brewed 2 teabags in 2 cups of hot water:

Then I put the coasters into a big bowl, and poured the tea on top of them.

I let them stain for about 10 minutes.
I threw them in the dryer with some brown towels, and then ironed them.
When that was all done, I threw them onto the coffee table so MC would quit complaining that we need coasters!

Perfect!
My heart is sobing – why on earth you ruined that perfect brightness?????????????????
BTW, they are perfect!
Congratulations, Cathy!! I would say that that is Mission Well-and-truly Accomplished
Now that’s cool. I never would’ve thought of that.
Very nice! I’ve read about tea staining, but it’s not something I’ve ever tried. Neat idea to stain the coasters.
Now, what can I say? This is perfect, absolutely!
Those look great!
Aren’t they cute – pretty and practical!
Satisfaction! Love the difference the stain made in the pink and brown bringing them subtlely into alignment with the brown w/ dots and flowers!
Tea stained fabric is sooo pretty! That reminds me that I tea stained a shirt that was supposed to turn into a bag. Now where is that thing???
Ahh, very successful indeed. Congratulations, and welcome back.
Those look so great!
I appreciate your take on life. you go girl…
